Greg Carmichael, guitarist of acclaimed jazz group Acoustic Alchemy visited us to audition our Segovia Trueno38 system.

Finding audiophile quality CDs which we actually want to listen to again and again is a perpetual problem. Acoustic Alchemy's Positive Thinking is one of John Choong's favourites, prompting the invitation to the group.

Of special interest to us was the insight Greg afforded us as we listened to the new CD, American/English. Greg commented on how the ambience of live studio recordings compared with the more processed studio mixes.

There was a surreal moment, when we played Positive Thinking. Greg hadn't heard the CD for a long time and was totally engrossed.

His verdict was that the speakers were totally revealing of the nuances of the musicians' playing and the nature of the recordings.
